About Me

It has always been my dream to bake since young, but I was never allowed in the kitchen because my mum was afraid I will be making a mess and she will be grumbling and nagging. Which mum dont nag? I need ear plucks!! LOL..I guess all mums want their kitchen to be spick and span. Kitchen is always mum's territory. I could only watch her bake and cook but of course get to eat the delicious yummy food that she created.

Watching my mum bake inspired me to bake one day. I always wanted my own kitchen so I can decorate and do whatever I desire. :) Finally when I had my own house , my own very kitchen. I was a happy mummy and was eager to do start learning how to bake and cook,  Back then my mum never thought me how to cook or bake. She always tells me that when she was young she had to learn to be independent and learn on her own so she feels that I too need to learn to be like her.

I invested in recipes book, going to bookstores and spending time browsing for cookery and baking books, searching online for recipes as well as going to library to search for interesting recipes and going home to write down the recipes or even photocopy the whole book. haha . My mum had her own collection of cook and baking books since her younger days so i conveniently combined hers and mine. 

 

I still remembered, I signed up for baking classes at the Community Center near my area and it was  a weekly affair, every Tuesday morning. Not only I learnt baking new recipes and tips, I got to mingle with awesome people who joined the class as well. It was a short period but there was never a day without no laughter and smile on each and every faces. It was a fruitful journey for me...
 
Kitchen a place to cook, bake, and make a whole lots of mess!

When comes to baking or cooking, I somehow will always have flour, coco powder all over the kitchen table and somehow I am always pro in creating a mess haha.!....but is meant to be messy right  hah!. Who is not messy in the kitchen? LOL. My mummy will "be in shocked" she always say the same old thing. "I dont understand how come you can create soo much mess and I dont".

When available, my hubby will assist in cleaning up the kitchen but he always grumble "Does your kitchen needs to eat'? hee hee I laugh it off.. My kids will tell me in advance 'I not washing up" haha!. oh well I should be thankful that there is someone who is willingly to clean up my mess. Oh yes I do clean up too you know haha (i dont count how many times though) lol.  

My family and colleagues are always the one to taste and comment on my food and cakes.. Normally, kids have sensitive taste buds, they tend to be fussy, choosy and tell you, Mum next time put more chocolate chips or more nuts .etc. but end of the day it is the satisfactory that I have...

Oh well , am blessed to have the baking soul in me. Baking for others to enjoy will always be my passion.
